Power-bank note
If you will take domestic flights in China, check current aviation rules before departure.
Current Chinese domestic-flight rules can restrict power banks that:
- lack an acceptable CCC / 3C mark;
- have an unclear mark;
- belong to a recalled model or batch.
Power banks belong in cabin baggage, not checked baggage.
Do not use a power bank to charge electronic devices during a flight under current rules.
See China Customs and Baggage for the full current aviation note.

Clothing
Pack for the actual city and season rather than "China" as one climate.
A multi-region itinerary may require layers.
Medication
Bring necessary medicine in suitable packaging and carry supporting documentation when appropriate.
Check current import rules separately for controlled or unusual prescription medicines.
What you probably do not need to overpack
In major Chinese cities, it is easy to buy ordinary toiletries, tissues, umbrellas, snacks, basic clothing and charging accessories.
Leave room in your luggage.
