High-speed rail classes

Second Class

Second Class (二等座) is the default recommendation for most travelers.

First Class

First Class (一等座) offers more space, wider seating and fewer passengers per row.

Business Class

Business Class (商务座) offers premium seating and more personal space.

Sleeper trains

Conventional and some overnight services may offer:

• Hard Sleeper (硬卧);
• Soft Sleeper (软卧);
• Deluxe Soft Sleeper (高级软卧);
• Moving Sleeper (动卧) on selected services.

Best choice for most visitors

For ordinary daytime high-speed rail:

Second Class

is usually enough.
